Brooklyn Park is a suburban community on the bank of the Mississippi River located upstream from Downtown Minneapolis. It still has undeveloped land, including the Historic Eidem Homestead, a working farm from the 1900s that is a well-liked tourist destination. Rush Creek Regional Trail is a 10-mile-long, excellent biking trail with a wonderful asphalt surface. The trail connects Coon Rapids Dam in Brooklyn Park to Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove. It can be used by joggers, dog walkers, runners, and bicyclists. 

Along the western banks of the Mississippi River, the trail starts at Coon Rapids Park and travels west. Even in the middle of suburban Brooklyn Park, the trail feels remote due to the planting of trees that shield it. The best time to see wildlife is early in the morning. 


Brooklyn Park Activity Center is a community center with a myriad of exercise amenities. They have racquetball and wallyball courts, a walking track, and a fitness room. The feature that sets the center apart is the two regulation-size ice arenas. It has a sunfish pond outside, as well as a pavilion where it holds community events like concerts. 


Historic Eidem Farm is an amazing experience as you step into the past. The farm, property, and house have all been brought back to their 1890–1910 appearance. You can visit the Victorian home, the farm, and the animals to learn about and experience firsthand what it was like to live on a farm between 1905 and 1920. The farm is run by volunteers who bake in the kitchen, work in the garden, do laundry, and take care of the farm. 


The City of Brooklyn Park owns Edinburgh USA, a public golf course in Brooklyn Park. It is one of only two courses in the state designed by renowned designer Robert Trent Jones II. It has been called one of the best golf courses in America. The excellent course design at Edinburgh USA places a strong emphasis on the placement of each shot. Edinburgh USA also has a restaurant and a pro shop.
